Audio and transcripts are not transmitted to external servers; external connections occur only for licence activation and updates (via Cloudflare Workers — see privacy policy for details). Frequently Asked Questions
After the one-time online activation, LokalSkribe works offline for up to 30 days. A brief licence check is performed every 30 days — without internet, the software continues to work until the next check is due.
For optimal speed, we recommend an NVIDIA GPU (RTX 3060 or better). The software also runs on CPU, though somewhat slower. Minimum requirements: Windows 10/11, 8 GB RAM, 5 GB free disk space.
No audio or text content is transmitted to external servers during transcription. All AI processing runs locally on your hardware. External services are only used for purchase, licensing, and email delivery.
The licence is a single-device licence. If you change devices, our support team at [email protected] will help you transfer it to your new PC — without purchasing a second licence.

When you first run the installer, Windows displays a security warning („Windows protected your PC — Unrecognized app"). This is normal for newer software publishers without a commercial code-signing certificate — the file is safe. How to install: 1. Click „More info" (small link in the dialog). 2. Click „Run anyway". LokalSkribe will build trust reputation over the coming months — the warning will then disappear automatically.
